There are many types of planning permission. The standard application forms cover a range of consents. Multiple consents can be applied for at any one time, for example, full planning consent and listed building consent or planning permission and conservation area consent.

Please note that planning permission is not always needed for all household building works. Under permitted development rules you can carry out a number of household building works, provided they meet certain limits and conditions.
